The Four Items Every Girl Needs This Summer
Summer weather welcomes shorts, tanks, bikinis, and all the necessities of the warmer months. Trying to decide what we need rather than want is easier said than done. I am here to offer my advice. I myself am a firm believer is shopping intelligently. (Yes, mom I did just say that.) My budget is tiny but my wants are huge. I am here to offer a middle ground any girl can meet for summer 2013.

After careful consideration, I have found four items every girl needs for summer.

1. A stylish tote bag
I always have more stuff in the summer, so I need somewhere to store all of my “crap”. We have suntan lotion, flip flops, sunglasses, and many other warm weather items. This is where I find a tote bag to be the perfect answer. Currently, I am carrying a bright pink, Steve Madden tote bag. I can fit everything into this bag. (Trust me there is too much in there to mention.) A tote bag is versatile for the beach, shopping, work, and a combination of the previous. I recommend buying a quality one, not anything too pricy, but ensure that it will last through the wear and tear of high usage.

2. A chambray or denim tank top
The perfect summer transition for the chambray/denim trend, this tank will be versatile and fun to wear. I recently purchased one from JC Penneys and love it. Throw on a maxi skirt, shorts, dark wash jeans, or any other bottom and the outfit is complete. I would recommend finding out without studs or embroidery so the top is easier to mix and match. (The studs could be added in jewelry, etc.)

3. A quality, bold colored lip gloss.
The quickest way to dress up any look, a fun gloss color is perfect for summer. A bold pink. cherry red, burnt orange, plum, or peach will do the trick. I have recently become a fan of berry shades, the gloss makes my lips stand out and adds zest to my summer outfits. I have recently talked about the current shade I am using from bareMinerals but love it so much I am posting again. Make sure you buy something quality so your lips don’t dry out. We all look better with some color on our lips.

4. An ankle strapped, heeled sandal
Perfect to dress up a tee and shorts or combine with a flowy dress, strappy sandals are the new wedges. I love the chicness that comes with this type of sandal. Being able to dress up an outfit is essential to my closet needs, so these sandals are a perfect addition for summer. I would stick to a more neutral shade so the sandals can be wore numerous times throughout the summer.
